# How to Import Your Goodreads Library into Achriom

You've spent years logging books on Goodreads. Ratings, reviews, shelves. It's all there.

Now you want to bring that into Achriom so your AI librarian can see the full picture.

Good news: it takes about two minutes.

## Step 1: Export from Goodreads

1. Go to [goodreads.com](https://www.goodreads.com) and log in
2. Click **My Books** in the top navigation
3. On the left sidebar, click **Import and Export**
4. Click **Export Library**
5. Wait for the file to generate (can take a minute for large libraries)
6. Download the CSV file

The file will be named something like `goodreads_library_export.csv`.

## Step 2: Import into Achriom

1. Open [app.achriom.com](https://app.achriom.com)
2. Go to **Settings** → **Import**
3. Select **Goodreads** as the source
4. Upload your CSV file
5. Click **Import**

Achriom will process your books, match them to our database, and pull in cover art and metadata automatically.

## What gets imported

## What happens next

Once your books are in, the AI librarian can see your full reading history. Try asking:

- "What patterns do you notice in my books?"
- "What genres do I read most?"
- "Recommend something based on my highest-rated books"

The more complete your library, the better the insights.

## Importing other media

Goodreads is just the start. You can also import:

- **Letterboxd** for movies
- **Spotify** for albums (via playlist export)
- **CSV files** for custom lists

Each import adds to your unified library. The AI sees everything together, which is where the cross-media connections surface.

## Troubleshooting

**Import seems stuck?**
Large libraries (1000+ books) can take a few minutes. Refresh the page after 5 minutes.

**Missing cover art?**
Some obscure editions may not match automatically. You can manually search and link them later.

**Ratings didn't come through?**
Make sure your Goodreads export includes the "My Rating" column. Re-export if needed.
