**Yes. Achriom gives series the Letterboxd ritual down to the episode: ratings on episodes, seasons and whole shows, reviews, a diary with rewatches, continue watching and a calendar of premieres, private by default with a public profile when you want one.** Serializd is the TV-only community that gets called the Letterboxd of TV, and Trakt is the history-and-calendar database. Here is how the three differ, so you can pick one.

**Quick verdict**

- **Shows next to your films and books, rated down to the episode, private until you say otherwise** is Achriom.
- **A community that only talks about TV** is Serializd.
- **A watch history that fills itself in, plus a release calendar** is Trakt.

## Does Letterboxd itself do TV?

Letterboxd is built around films. Limited-run series have been loggable for years because it draws its data from TMDB, and when Tiny bought a majority stake in 2023 the company said it planned to add television shows ([Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Letterboxd)). I did not find episode logging live in October 2026, so a person who wants a diary of every episode of Severance still needs another app today. Check [Letterboxd](https://letterboxd.com) before you decide, since that may change.

## What a Letterboxd for TV has to do

Television is harder to log than a film, because a show is dozens of separate evenings. The ritual only survives if the app handles that.

1. **Rate at the size you remember it.** Season 1 of Severance and season 2 are different opinions, and so is one episode of The Bear.
2. **Know where you are.** Pick up Silo at the next episode without counting back through the list.
3. **Keep a diary, rewatches included.** The second time through Shōgun should be its own entry.
4. **Write a line or a review**, so the rating has a reason.
5. **Decide how public it is**, from a social feed to a private log.

![Silo (2023)](/blog/assets/letterboxd-for-tv-shows/silo-tv.jpg)

Every app below does some of this. The last point is where they split, along with whether TV is the whole app or one shelf of it. For the wider field, see [the best TV tracking apps](/blog/best-tv-tracking-apps/).

## The three apps

### Achriom

This is the one to try if you already log films somewhere and want shows to work the same way. On a show's page you set where you are by season and episode, mark a season watched, rate episodes and seasons as well as the show, add a note, and log a rewatch with its date. Continue watching puts the next episode first, and a calendar lists upcoming episodes and premieres. Title pages show where to stream it and carry discussion threads, plus episode moments you can react to once you have marked the episode watched, spoiler-safe.

Reviews can stay "Only me" or go "Public on my profile", and the whole profile is off until you switch it on. After that you can follow people and share reviews, lists and your diary. Follower counts stay private, so there is no scoreboard. You can see a live public profile at [@achriom](https://www.achriom.com/achriom) before you sign up for anything.

Two honest limits. Achriom has no push notifications, so nothing pings you when a season drops; the calendar is where you look. And TV is one shelf among eight kinds of media here, which cuts both ways. If you want a crowd that only argues about shows, Serializd is built for that. If you want your episode ratings next to the film you watched last night and the novel behind it, that is the point.

Moving in is built in. Achriom imports Trakt by username with your episodes, Letterboxd by zip, CSV or username, IMDb ratings and watchlists including series, and a TV Time export if you saved one. A connected Letterboxd profile can sync daily, so what you log there turns up on your Achriom shelf the next day. See [how to move from TV Time](/blog/move-from-tv-time-to-achriom/) for that route. Every import is free, and so are half-stars, notes and export. Free has no item limit; Pro is $9.99 a month or $99 a year and raises the librarian from 10 messages a month to 200 ([pricing](https://www.achriom.com/pricing)). More on the TV side is on the [Achriom TV tracker](/tv-tracker/) page.

### Serializd

Serializd is the TV-only app often described as the Letterboxd of TV. Its site describes tracking shows across streaming services with a TV diary, reviews and ratings, lists, recommendations, following other members and joining TV discussions. The App Store listing adds that you can rate episodes, seasons or whole series, set custom show posters, see stats like total watch time and genre breakdowns, and get notifications for upcoming episodes. It is on web, iOS and Android.

What you get is a community where every conversation is about television. If you like reading a stranger's take on one episode of The Bear and writing your own, this is the pick. Serializd imports from TV Time and Trakt, and its site says it costs nothing to use any of its current features; the iPhone listing shows no in-app purchases ([Serializd](https://www.serializd.com), [App Store listing](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/serializd/id1581244120)).

The tradeoff is the same as any single-format app. Your films, books and records live somewhere else, and so does the taste that connects them. I did not find an import from Serializd into Achriom, so moving later means starting that history over.

### Trakt

Trakt is a watch history first and a diary second. Its App Store listing describes checking in to what you are watching, marking episodes and movies watched, importing from IMDb, Plex, Letterboxd and TV Time, an Up Next list, a release calendar, watchlists and custom lists, and following other members. It is also the service other apps and media servers plug into, so tools like Plex and Kodi can scrobble to it ([Trakt](https://trakt.tv)).

That makes it the pick when you would rather not log anything by hand, or when you want the calendar to tell you the night Shōgun's next season starts. It is less of a place to write. Lists and some features sit behind VIP, which the listing prices at $5.99 a month or $59.99 a year, and recent reviews on that listing complain about the redesign and the VIP price increase. For the cost and limits in detail, read [Serializd vs Trakt](/blog/serializd-vs-trakt/) and [how to export your Trakt data](/blog/how-to-export-your-trakt-data/) if you ever want out.

## Quick comparison

## Which should you use?

If you log films on Letterboxd and want shows to feel the same, start with Achriom. It reads your Letterboxd history, rates at the episode level, and keeps the diary private until you choose otherwise. If you want a crowd that talks only about TV, Serializd is the straightforward choice and it is free. If you want the record to fill itself in from Plex or Kodi, and a calendar that never lets you miss a premiere, use Trakt.

You can also split the job. Plenty of people keep a hands-off history in Trakt and the diary and reviews in Achriom, where the shows sit beside everything else they read and hear. Still comparing the film side? The [best Letterboxd alternatives](/blog/best-letterboxd-alternatives/) covers it, and [Letterboxd for music](/blog/best-letterboxd-for-music-apps/) does the same job for albums.

## Common questions

### Is there a Letterboxd for TV shows?

Yes. Achriom gives series the Letterboxd ritual down to the episode: ratings on episodes, seasons and whole shows, reviews, a diary with rewatches, continue watching and a calendar of premieres, private by default with an opt-in public profile. Serializd is the TV-only community, and Trakt is the history-and-calendar database.

### Does Letterboxd itself track TV shows?

Letterboxd is built around films. Limited-run series can be logged because it draws on TMDB, and it said in 2023 that it planned to add television shows. I did not find episode logging live in October 2026, so check Letterboxd before you count on it.

### Can I rate individual episodes and seasons?

Yes on Achriom, where stars go on episodes, seasons and the whole show, and on Serializd, whose App Store listing says you can rate episodes, seasons or whole series. Trakt's listing describes marking episodes watched and rating titles.

### Is there a private Letterboxd for TV?

Achriom is private by default. Turn on a public profile when you want one, then follow people and share reviews, lists and your diary. Follower counts stay private. Serializd and Trakt are both built around following other members.

### Are these TV trackers free?

Achriom is free with no item limit and every import free; Pro is $9.99 a month or $99 a year. Serializd's App Store listing shows no in-app purchases. Trakt is free to download, and its VIP tier is $5.99 a month or $59.99 a year.

### Can I move my Trakt or Letterboxd history into Achriom?

Yes. Achriom imports Trakt by username, with episodes, and Letterboxd by export zip, CSV or username. A connected Letterboxd profile can keep syncing daily. It also takes IMDb ratings and a TV Time export you already saved.

### Can I track films and books on the same shelf as my shows?

Yes. Achriom keeps shows, films, books, albums, anime, podcasts, games and manga in one library, and you can ask its librarian about all of it. Serializd is TV only, and Trakt covers TV and movies.
