Connecting via MCP

Use your Achriom library in Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI clients.

Achriom supports MCP (Model Context Protocol) — an open standard that lets AI clients like Claude and ChatGPT connect to your library. Once connected, they can search, add items, update ratings, and browse your collection. Free for all accounts.

Claude and Claude Desktop

Both work the same way. Requires a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise).

  1. Go to Settings → Connectors
  2. Click Add custom connector
  3. Enter the name Achriom and your MCP URL from Achriom settings
  4. Follow the auth prompts to connect

ChatGPT

Requires ChatGPT Plus or Pro with Developer Mode enabled.

  1. Settings → Apps → Enable Developer mode
  2. Settings → Connectors → Create
  3. Name: Achriom
  4. URL: mcp.achriom.com/mcp
  5. Auth: OAuth → sign in with your Achriom account

Cursor, Windsurf, and other clients

Any HTTP MCP client can connect using your personal API key. Use this URL:

https://mcp.achriom.com/mcp?api_key=YOUR_KEY

Get your API key from account settings.

What your AI client can do

Once connected, your AI client can search and browse your library, add and update items, find patterns, and access the same 29 tools as the in-app librarian. Changes sync across all clients — add something in Claude and it appears in the app.

For a full list of capabilities, see the MCP page.
